Post-Mortem: 19th Ward Aldermanic Race
Below is a picture of the 19th Ward mayoral election returns. Precincts that Rahm won are purple, whereas Chico’s precincts are green.
Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park residents overwhelmingly pulled the lever for Chico, whereas their neighbors in Beverly chose Rahm. The dark purple precinct in the sea of green is O’Shea’s precinct. Rahm and O’Shea campaigned together and were clearly on the same team. So why didn’t Mt. Greenwood and Morgan Park vote for Schaible? Any thoughts?
